Within five years, they had two daughters, Olga and Theodosia. In this picture, you can see the Thomas family in Nashville in 1941. Clara Thomas had learned extraordinary housekeeping skills, and she made a lovely home for her family despite her husband’s low wages. With land being inexpensive in Nashville, eventually the Thomases were able to move to a pleasant house with a porch and a nice yard for their daughters to play in.
